Take a 360-degree video tour of Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse on the Oregon Coast!
It takes 114 steps to reach the original glass lens, which was first illuminated on Aug. 20, 1873.
During the summer, ranger-led tours are daily and on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are opportunities to make reservations, too (information below).

Yaquina Head Lighthouse Tours:
Off-season: (November - June) The lighthouse is open for limited (16 visitors per tour) ranger-led tours. Day of tour passes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be reserved
in person at the interpretive center no earlier than 10 a.m. on the day of the tour. Tours are offered as staffing and weather conditions permit. For further information, please phone 541-574-3100 during business hours.
Summer season (July - September): Tours every day. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance - for a limited number of tours. To make an advance reservation phone 1-877-6777 or visit recreation.gov. Please be aware that a small administrative fee will be required to hold each ticket reservation.
What to expect:
The climb is strenuous! Visitors with heart, respiratory or other medical conditions, or who have trouble climbing stairs, should use their own discretion as to whether to climb the tower.
Tours are typically 45 minutes long, and are not designed for children under 5 years of age; all children must be 42 inches tall to climb the tower stairs.
The lighthouse may close at any time if weather conditions are unsafe or staff is unavailable.
The following safety rules apply:
Children must be at least 42 inches tall and capable of climbing 114 steps on their own.
Children under 12 must be escorted by someone 16 years of age or older.
No person may be lifted or carried on the stairs or landings.
Running, jumping, or stomping on stairs and landings is prohibited.
Smoke, food and drink are not allowed.
No pets; service animals are permitted.
Do not arrive in heels over 1½ inches high, flip flops, or in bare feet.
Please leave large backpacks, tripods, balls and other toys in your vehicle.
