Hello. I am a Hawaii travel planner living in Korea. There is not much information about the Kohala region of the Big Island in Korea, but I am receiving a lot of help from your channel. Stay healthy and happy. Thank you, Mahalo.

Have you folks done videos about the town of Waimea? It's a town we've passed through several times whenever we are driving around the island, but we don't know much about it. Thanks.

Love the Hawi Farmers Market. I can’t wait for things to smooth out and travel to pick up again so we can come back to the island. Thanks for showing people some of the cool stuff of North Kohala. You guys do a great job and please tell Eric that I love his truck. Those old Toyota pickups are simple, classic, tough and useful if you can keep them from rusting away. Yours looks pretty good!

Eric is pretty proud of that truck, Jeff! He even put the camouflage design on it himself. Thanks for pointing it out!

Love your videos, but would like to see a road map on the roads to get to all your hikes and explorations. Maybe you could add that to your videos which would help a lot. Just an idea, thanks!

If you follow that chain out from the harbor at Mahukona, you'll find a large steam engine, drive shaft and propeller, from a wooden steamship that burned and sank. There is other wreckage around that, too. You can see them from the surface as a snorkeler, but it's much better if you can scuba dive there.

We made our first visit in 2019 to the Hamakua Mac Nut Company. It was a nice place to visit and a great place to sample different flavored Mac nuts. Although, I’m guessing the sampling may be limited in the future.

WOW, Thanks for the video. I always wanted to go there but never made it that far. I use to live in a little town called Pahoa from 1973 to 1983 in Leilani Estates where the volcano all of a sudden happened. You ought to do a video of that area. Be interesting to see what Pahoa and that whole area looks like now. Mahalo.

Aloha Arlen! There are some sketchy places in Pahoa, but there are some great places, too! We have a fantastic Realtor team that we refer to folks considering purchasing homes on that side of the island. We would be happy to introduce you to them and also give you some insights we have from friends who live in Pahoa. Contact us at Eric@Ziemelis.com

Intrigue by this video, I spent all afternoon looking for a way to access the heiau. Google directions are wrong - you will be led to a closed gate in the south. You need to access this site from the north, by the airport.

We are thinking of moving to the Big Island. We already have some land there but, thinking about buying more. We live in New Mexico and the crime is bad and will become even worse in a short period of time.. I know you guys don't want everybody and their 64 grandchildren coming in with their friends and their friends..it's just us two and a cat. I think we're gonna do it.. 👍

Hi. Thank you for the wonderful videos. I was wondering if you experience any discrimination? I know Hawaii is a mix of cultures but I’ve heard Whites are not as welcomed living in Hawaii as opposed to just visiting. I’m Latino and thinking about moving to the Big Island. I guess I would be considered Caucasian. Thank you
@365Hawaii
@365Hawaii 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom! Everyone has their own personal experiences based on how they treat the residents! If you bring Aloha and have a respect for the people and culture, you have a great experience here. Actually, as Latino, you would probably fit in even better, lol!

I also want to move to the Island of Hawaii. I am approx 90% white and 10% native American. So I am also a little afraid the locals won't give me a chance. But I am convinced a lot has to do with your character, personally and if you respect and adjust to the Hawaiian culture and nature.

If you talk to the public about Hawai'i, you definitely need to work on your pronunciation. It's not Kuh ha luh; you should say all the vowels, Ko Ha La. In don't say knee knee, say neh neh. ; )

Do us a favor....get your Hawaiian pronunciation right. It is not KAhala ....it it KOhala (long 'O'). KAhala is on Oahu. Thank you.

You guys are not only do you mispronounce half the Hawaiian words you say but you are giving all kinds of wrong historical information. Please do your research first. Lapakahi dried out because the plantations diverted the water. Please at the very least work on your pronunciation of Hawaiian words

Aloha Joshua-We are taking that part out of the video. We had hoped to get into the park to talk to a park ranger and we were speculating and realize we should not do that for these videos. I DID learn alot about the Kona Field System however. We are also going to reach out to some Hawaiian cultural practitioners for more info on future videos and may have one of them actually do the voice overs. Thanks for your time to share your thoughts.
