Don't forget about Manta at the Mauna Kea Hotel. It's a little pricey, but it too has spectacular views of the bay, amazing sunsets, and delicious food!

We loved Splashers 😩, Lava Lava is a must! We have enjoyed our 15th and 25th anniversary dinners at Huggo’s. We plan to try Magics Beach Grill on our next visit. Mahalo

Kona Inn has nice views with lawn, palm trees and sunset but think it is still closed. Kona Joe’s is a nice coffee farm with coffee bar and stunning views. Not sure it is open either. Hoping all is open when we come back in July

Nice video. You missed Brown's Beach House at the Fairmont Orchid and Manta at Māuna Kea. I think Brown's Beach House is, arguably, the best restaurant on the island.

Brown's Beach House was definitely on my list and Manta has a fantastic view..we couldn't hit them all in one day, but those two will definitely be on "View restaurants version 2"!

Browns Beach House is our very favorite! We eat there each and EVERY time we visit the Big Island. The views, entertainment and food = wonderful memories of Hawaii! Keep the good videos coming! Hoping your daughter is still around next year for more photos :0)

In 2018 I ate at a BBQ place near Captain Cook i think. The name was Big Jake's I believe. The food was so good that it didn't matter that there was no view. On the Roocks is a must.

Great content as always, hopefully Hawaii gets more open, they got rid of the quarantine is that correct. Do they still do testing at the airport or do you need to get tested before arrive.

Aloha! No quarantine! And yes, they still have testing at the airport and are looking to allow those who have been vaccinated a chance to bypass testing in the coming months. All businesses still require that you wear a mask and if you are in public spaces like walking downtown. Our case count is low and our efforts have been rewarded with most of our restaurants, charters, farmers markets and businesses open!

One other place with an absolutely spectacular view is the Kamuela Provision Company at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Highly recommended! 🤙🏻

Huggo's is our favorite place to eat and view the sunset on our last night each time we are on the island. We have eaten at Papa Kona's. We also love Annie's Burgers in Captain Cook. They have a nice view of the ocean as well. Looking forward to trying your recommendations on our next visit.

Rebel Kitchen 79-7399 Hawaii Belt Rd, Kealakekua was a new find for us last week. It's on the road to Volcano so no view but excellent food, great beer selection. They make their own Fire Sauce which honestly is not that hot, they make their own ketchup and their own mustard. The waitress made excellent cupcakes as well. Give it a try.

We are planning a trip to Kona for May. Any suggestion on what part of the Kona to rent a place. I'm looking for Airbnbs close to downtown, I'm assuming that is the place to be, but if there our better options please let me know. We are in our 50's so we don't need to be in nightclub central, we are mainly looking to have a balance of things that are easily accessible and a walk able area, if that make sense.

Kona is kind of noisy at night. Look for something up the hill from Kona with distant ocean views. Cooler at night too.

Nope. I think they are tied to Kona Inn and the owners have not set a date for opening that restaurant either.

I love the Mauna Kea as a resort, but Manta is absolutely terrible. Great view and ambiance but food is beyond disappointing (overcooked seafood, poorly seasoned plates, and egregious prices). I think Merrimans and Canoe House are the way to go near Kohala.

I have heard that. There are just so many people on the island right now, that they were getting flak from their guests when there was no room at either of the restaurants. Give it a few months.

All those restaurants hv good view but I don’t agree with their menu it’s not up to standard in quality consistency and flavors .I wouldn’t not recommend any of those to anyone .I’m a local chef born here on island work at various locations of rest and hotels .Frm Kona kohala coast as well as kamuela.There’s no foods which I enjoy eating .There all shitty to my flavors .I hv my own business as a chef /owner everyone say we hv the best menu for a food concession trailer .Know one cn touch our menu flavors .Ohanafoodtrailer ..Aloha
