At the end of the day, it's ESPN that holds all the cards to a negotiated settlement. ESPN has the sole right to trigger the ACC Grant of Rights 9 year extension in 2027. ESPN also owns the TV rights to both ACC and SEC.

EACH ACC School will take a Large Leap forward in Revenue of $16+ Million Next Year and another $10+ Million TWICE in the next 3 years. with yet ANOtHER $10+ million Leap forward in 7 years when the ACC will THEN be within $5 Million per school of the B1G school These CLOWNS NO NOTHING

FSU needs to understand that the SEC and B1G contracts are done until 2030 at the least. FSU would only water down the amount or come in with a less than full share of the money. It makes no sense to do it now and lose money getting out and then taking less money for the duration of those contracts. It would make more sense to do this closer to 2030 so they can be in on the new contract that will start then. It's all idiotic.

The SEC doesn't want them; they do not add a new market to the conference and Florida will never approve. The Big Ten doesn't want them; SACS accreditation doesn't meet B10 requirements. Plus, with the 2 conferences entering into discussions with each other, it's highly unlikely that they would encroach on each others' geographic territory at this time. FSU people need to accept that they are stuck like chuck for the time being.
