OR, trace the items you can't draw (like hands, eyes, etc.) Over and over until you get better (but don't claim it) and *USE REFERENCES.* Being a skilled artist takes years. Here are some actually tips for any growing artists that finds this You don't need short cuts for your art. You need to just keep drawing not cause you have to but you really want to and feel joy of it. Drawing will take time and you will grow with your art but you have to keep up with it like any other things you learn Also remember art isn't a talent, it's a skill. With some time and effort, you can become an amazing artist. If you want to improve find other artists on KZbin, find helpful tutorials and use references. Draw how you want to not what other people want. It all begins with you drawing what you love, be it realistic or cartoonish. It's okay you're not perfect, art is all about making mistakes to improve upon them. Ever great artist made mistakes but a great artist will take those mistakes and make something out of them. Let your imagination be thrown on the paper, get your ideas out and no matter what people say. There will be rude people but sometimes it's good to listen to those that you may not wany to hear. Criticism is important, so take it into account but if they are just rude with no true criticism then you can just ignore it. Keep it as a hobbie when you're young cause artists can have trouble finding a job. Only post when you know you can handle those mean comments and able to handle some drama. Cause it will happen. I know young ones want to show off their art when they aren't ready. Please, wait till you know you are ready for hate. It can be quite damaging if you aren't ready. Please make sure you keep a healthy habbit of resting your hands at times, not be so frustrated when you have mental blocks, and please don't ruin your sleep schedule. For young artists keep up with your school so you always have back up plans to make money if you really wanna have art as your money source. It's always good to have a plan B for everything. Cheap art supplies aren't bad, a normal one dollar pencil one you found on the ground with some printer paper is the best start and grow with your art supplies. If you feel like you are ready for the next step then get a decent medium you like and keep going. KZbin is your friend and so is the internet. Please use it but also if you do trace don't post it. Keep that to yourself, posting causes back lash and no artist likes that. Learn the rules of art and keep making your dreams come to life on the paper! I wish you all the best of luck

Uh no. As a character artist myself. You can't just become an artist in under 5 days. And doing this is just copying someone's work. When you make a decent picture *by yourself* and get as little as 10% recognition then you're able to call yourself a "Hobbyist artist". It's not professional until you start getting paid for it (This is mostly the case for most professional artists mind you)

Following reference isn't copying tho, and the first horribly handled "tips" of this video just kind of show how to draw things that some could've figured by looking at a ref (i actually draw braids just like they do, and folds as well, and that doesn't mean i'm copying them!) To all the aspiring artists out there, you should try to do a sketch layer first using circles and lines to get the portions right, and not everyone should draw this way. Different people have different drawing styles. Some being more cartoony and some being more realistic for example.
