How spoiled I was after moving to Denver in late 2011. I grew up in Utah and never liked sports, but my cousin got out of the military and wanted to go to school in Denver. Those four years changed me, and we never missed a game. To this day (back in Utah) I'm a Denver guy and always will be. That being said, the Manning era and No Fly Zone was phenomenal. Happy to see a win against the Chiefs last year, and beating down the Raiders last week!

I went to every single home game that season. Pre-season to AFC Championship. Dream season.

That season they faced 5 QBs that rank in top 10 all time passing: Brady(twice), Roethlisberger(twice), Rivers(twice), Rodgers and Stafford). Plus Flacco also ranks in the top 20, and Cam was a dual threat reigning MVP. They only had 3 games total against QBs that were never pro bowlers This is what separates them from other great defenses, it's not just the numbers but who they faced. . '85 Bears played great against Montana and beat Simms in the playoffs, but got dominated by Marino and didn't face any other stiff competition outside that. 2000 Ravens opponents look even less impressive, most people probably couldn't name a single QB they faced outside of Aikman who was on his final playing year. 2002 Bucs should get a good deal of credit for facing Warner, Vick, Favre, and McNabb, as well as the 2013 Seahawks for facing Brees, Matt Ryan, Palmer and both Mannings. You can make an argument for plenty of teams as the best overall defense, but the No-Fly Zone should be considered as the best pass defense of all time hands down.

Man, this season was magical. Going back and rewatching these games is a treat. So many times you see Manning warming up on the sideline when the other team gets to 2nd or 3rd down, he knew that defense was something special and theyd get a stop.

Broncos really had Prime Shaq Barrett, Prime Von Miller and just past his prime but still elite Demarcus Ware. That’s an all time great pass rush with the best secondary in the league. Top 3 defense all time no question.

Shaq was a ROOKIE that year. They also had Shane Ray who was Denver’s first round pick that year. They had 4 edge rushers in the rotation play at an elite level, no QB was safe, ever 😂

Y'all probably won't believe me but, it's very true. I started watching NFL in 2015 during week 6 in my early 20s (the only sport I watched was MMA at that point, a lot of it). I got a week trial of gamepass, and watched every condensed game from week 6. I then narrowed down which teams I would choose from, cause my state didn't have one. I wanted a strong team, because didn't want to just choose a bad team, I wanted to enjoy watching my team play lol. So I narrowed it down to Broncos, Falcons, Patriots, Texans(I think). I watched every condensed game of theirs from weeks 1-5 and fell in love with this Denver defense. So ultimately I went with Broncos on that week 6 of 2015 season. Pretty awesome to win the superbowl the first season you watch! Now, what followed proved I wasn't some bandwagoner lol. Glad we seem to be moving on back up!

Speaking of - Earl Thomas was the Broncos 1st round pick the year after Josh McDaniels traded a 1st round pick for a 2nd round pick to draft Wake Forest CB Alphonso Smith (who?).

The 2015 Broncos held Aaron Rodgers to 77 yards passing in an entire game during the regular season- If you held THAT guy to 77 yards in just a quarter in that time and you were practically the Steel Curtain... He had that total for the entire game. Then they hold Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Brady, and Cam Newton (the 2015 MVP) to a SINGLE TD pass between them during the playoffs and their Super Bowl run and win. Not saying they're the best ever, but they absolutely belong in the conversation. Anyone who says otherwise is either being incredibly disingenuous or doesn't know what they're talking about. The Broncos pass rush and secondary of that season are both top-3 ever.

Never thought of that but I literally can. First game against the Ravens I had to watch it on my phone at work and freaked out on the interception lol. Few times at restaurants/bars, went to the Bengals game in Denver. Such a great season although equally as stressful with Peyton and the planter fasciitis. First season I ever felt more confident having the defense on the field than the offense lol.

I watched every snap of every game this season. I especially remember that Sunday night game vs the Packers. Both teams were undefeated coming into that week. Marquee matchup between the Pacers offense vs the Denver D. Absolute destruction by the D. It wasn't even a contest. Rodgers wasn't the same for weeks after that blowout😂😂😂

Everyone of these ballers on defense made plays all throughout this season, Wolfie, Bruton, Trevethon, Ray to just name a few that weren't the stars but playing at such a high level with Von, Ware, Jackson, Talib and Harris, all stars that brought up the level of play of their teammates. Championship teams with great locker rooms like this one brought everyone together that they won a Superbowl with a mid row offense. Only the special defenses in History have played at such a high level they brought the rest of the team with them to a Championship, Ravens 02' this team. If you like Defense that takes the ball over from the offense and scores at a consistent rate making plays all over the field at every level of the defense, this 30 minutes is a great watch.

One of the greatest of all time. They eclipsed the 2013 Seattle defense they lost to 2 years earlier. You have to give John Elway immense credit. He took the #1 statistical offense of all time in 2013 and 2 years later he crafted another team with a new coach and arguably one of the greatest defenses of all time.

That 2015-16 season was different I don't know if any other Broncos fans felt it but that team had a “Mystic” about like destiny was on their side. From the preseason I just knew that team was going to win the Bowl. Since that victory I never got that feeling again. Football really be weird like that sometimes.
