Stratford is a major interchange station located in east London and is one of the busiest railway stations in the UK, both in terms of passengers and the number of trains serving the station.
Stratford's variety isn't quite what it used to be with the introduction of the Class 720s, but it was certainly great to see these new trains in service including the newer Class 720/1s. We were also able to see Elizabeth line in full swing operating through services from Heathrow to Shenfield too.
Lying on one of the main freight corridors to the busy ports of Harwich and Felixstowe, it also sees a large variety of freight trains - 2 of which are included in the hour or so I spent filming here.
It goes without saying that Stratford is an incredible station which is well worth a visit if you're in London, however the location I filmed at likely isn't the best. The far southern end of Platform 8 offers much less restricted views with a lot less people.
