Hi - Not one of my best creations, but it was an interesting little experimental project nevertheless. All the best. Andrew

I like it Andrew, I think it’s great! I admire those who use the tools they have... the lathe is so adaptable, using it as a pen press makes me chuckle when I think of all the people paying out for shiny gadgets. Well done mate, cracking video!👍🍺

Hi Dave. Thanks for being so positive! It's actually sometimes quite strange when I'm turning and I see your sticker in the corner of my eye. It's like you are checking out my next move (or mistake). All the best. 🍺 Andrew

I hope it doesn't stay back in the box Andrew!! As far as Corian is concerned, try to contact sellers and ask for samples, they generally send small pieces, suitable for making pens, and they are foc. Turn it slowly, particularly when drilling out for the pen tube, as it tends to explode into a useless mess - trust me, I know from bitter experience!!

Hi Steve. Hopefully I will remember where I put it 🤔! Thanks for the info on the Corian - very much appreciated. Cheers. Andrew

Considering all the experimenting it turned out quite well in the end. Far from a disaster. The other pens you've been making look amazing. It's quite easy to get the pen bug for a little while. Something you may want to try next are the rollerball pens. Take a look at penkitsdirect.co.uk search by cheapest on the rollerball. You will need the bushings, but the quality difference between those and the European twist pen is amazing. The cheapest rollerball pens I've found so far. Great job and well done!

Hi Paul - many thanks for the feedback and advice. I must say that I am really happy with the other pens I've made, and quality just seemed to improve each time. Then it fell off a cliff with this one! I will definately check out penkitsdirect when I need more supplies. All the best. Andrew

Hi Andrew I contacted my localkitchen / worktop manufacturer in Glasgow and every now and then they give me the pieces they are throwing in the bin, there may be some in your area who are willing to do the same, check your local area for "corian". Tommy

I have got corian via eBay, I live in East Yorkshire. I also acquired some off cuts from a factory previously, they only make slimline pens as they come in 12 Mm widths. It can be a little awkward to turn as is can chip out if not careful. I could send you some pen blanks to try if you send me your details.

Hi Amanda - that is ever so kind of you, but I wouldn't want you to undergo any form of expenditure. I will however check out eBay to see what I can find. Thanks again for the info - it's very much appreciated. Andrew
