Excellent video. Brings back childhood memories of wandering the tracks at Thirlmere before the safeties came along and changed it all.

I'd say, probably 80s or up to 1998, as 5910 was withdrawn from RTM service. Great to see some colour footage of 5910 and that beautiful whistle of hers.

I did my A Trails on 5910 in the late 60’s shame they ruined the boiler.
