It's really sad, that there were so few Volvo T6 3.0 inline 6 (especially the top of the range 350HP). I would love to have one, but almost none are on sale - Seen just ONE in Germany. It's the very last Volvo to have a beefy 3 liter engine. And it sounds really impressive. Very similar to the new M340i. Great review Max, as always!

Try looking for one in the Netherlands, volvo's with T6s are quite common here. There aren about 9 polestars for sale with the T6 so a bit more choice haha. Funny thing is that most of these were imported from germany to the netherlands because we commonly like volvos more than germany does, probably because germany has its own premium brands (audi, bmw, mercedes). Now some people may have to start importing them back to germany. How the tables have turned ;)

One of the best sounding engines out there, and that’s from a 5 cyl/T5 owner lol. Superb video and the beauty of the V60 Polestar is it’s exclusivity - Audi and BMW are ten-a-penny to the point they are so boring.

I have a 2015 S60 T6 R-design that can beat a 2020 S4 by the slightest of margins. I enjoy the Straight 6. Mine is downpiped and has a consistent 3" exhaust with mufflers and it sounds like a supra.

Very nice video. Ive driven this car and i agree its only the gearbox that is the con. If it had the 8 speed gearbox which is on the later 2 litre supercharged and Turbocharged then it would be an absolute monster!!

Hi mate, i went to look at a polestar on the weekend to buy, does the polestar have different drive modes? and if so how do you select them (button? or in a menu?) and what modes are there, and how much difference do they make? The dash on the car i tried was all red and I found it difficult to drive the car passively and wonder if there are more modes that I could have used to help me out!??? some seem to have a different dash display like blue etc, the one I test drove was all red?

4:10 6 speed is an Aisin Warner unit. The 8 speed unit on the newer cars is big improvement

6 speed aisin is decent, the newer 8 speed would not fit with the Si6 engine so they downsized to 4 cyl for 8 speed aisin.

These P* Volvos also had something akin to torque-to-gear with reduced boost in 1st and 2nd gear. That's a big reason the gearbox feels lame when pushing hard around town

Cool car until you see the back end. The rear-end is as boring as the standard versions. Removing the valves was a bad plan. You want your Volvo to be sophisticated when needed. But other than that I really like the color and the power.

Since 2016 the Polestars are 4banger, like all Volvos. What they call T6 today is a 2.0 4 banger.

This one is pre-2016 model year, so it has the 3.0 liter inline 6 engine which produces around 345hp stock and this one has been tuned to 380hp. The post-2016 model years have a 2.0 liter twin charged engine with 367hp stock with subtle difference to alloys. Hope this clears it up for you.

​@@tomcray7907 До феррари конечно не дотягивает. Также m50d (3 литра 6 цил) надежностью не славится. Если его отбросить, то и" гораздо мощнее" сразу пропадает... а экономичность скорее связана с Aisin и клиренсом. Также, Volvo в средней комплектации тяжелее BMW в сравнимой комплектации.

The car itself is great and looks nice when it comes to exterior, but the interior is HORRIBLY outdated and this calculator keypad in the center stack just looks ridiculous. The retrofit instrument cluster and computer which look like something from a 15-17 year old German rivals surely don't help one bit and it's unsurprising considering Volvo introduced this interior in the late 2000'. Luckily, the rest of the car makes up for it...

Now Polestar cars are just chinese made hybrid electric cars with a Volvo interior. Just a shame what happened to the company over the years since the bastards of Ford took over. 4 cylinders, no more diesels in the future, 180 kmh limit and all that stupid shit. The attitude torwards car people and the self determination of the customer and driver is something you cannot simply deprogram out of the company. BMW doesnst do that for example. Its the nanny state or nanny company that tells the customer what he wants and not viceversa.
