It would have been quite harsh being a pioneer in this area back then. though I too could see myself living in a place like this. Cheers

Would be great to restore this and modernise it inside. It seems to be in a nice spot with a relaxing feel to it. 🙂👍

It was a very remote and relaxed location. These locks were made simplistically and they have been able to stay functioning for two hundred plus years. I would love to clean them up but I wouldn't want to change them. They are a great bench mark from how to see the lock build progression from then to now. I find them fascinating. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers

You actually made me a little nervous for you. I'm really glad you didn't fall in the basement. That aside, I love your explorations videos. I grew up in an industrial city with many abandon buildings, explored often. Didn't put much thought into safety though. DOH! Still, I can't help but wonder the back story of the places you have visited. Thank you for sharing. G'day PW.

This was the second family home on this farm, the first one built was a lot smaller and cruder in construction I will show that video shortly. This was the modern one and is two hundred years old! There are quite a few outbuilding on this site I will also show and together all these dwellings and other things I found here put together the picture of the life of this farm. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers

I really enjoy doing them and showing you all what locks I come across in their original working locations and in their doors. I find it fascinating. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers

maybe next time ad a voice over to do the explaining of what you show us,
@PocketWomen8 ай бұрын
I don't do editing and therefore cannot do a voice over. I am going into these places blind and don't know what I am showing you until we all see it together. These old locks I have no knowledge of so cannot give you any manufacturing details or models. Often all I will know is the approximate age of the premises based on the building materials and architecture design. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers

I think the books were just as i teresting as the locks. I dont understand the doir knobs at the windows
@PocketWomen8 ай бұрын
The books all seemed to be spy novels and murder mysteries. The window locks were basic latches. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers

Yeah these places can be. There is usually a deceased sheep in them when they have the doors off like this. Thanks for watching and commenting, cheers
