The metallic flakes are so beautiful! Adds that extra pop on each card! And the strip you added the purple and green stazon ink on the sliver metallic flakes is spectacular! And the red and brown to the rose gold is fabulous! Then when you added the greens and a just a bit more brown...it looked like a beautiful marble countertop! Totally amazing! This was such a fun class Stacey...you are the best teacher! I love how you think outside of the box! I would have never thought to have added ink to the metallic flakes!!

Absolutely great class today. Stacey, I cannot tell you just how much you mean to us. I honestly DO learn something new EVERY SINGLE TIME I watch one of your videos. Really love when I catch it live, like I did today. Been papercrafting since the 90s (was a Stampin Up! Demonstrator for a while, too). I have many products that sit around (don't we all), but YOU come along & "breathe new life" into them. Thnx for loving (& sharing with) us! My love, hugs, & kisses to you, Michael (Mr SMS), & the kids. Special THNX to lil Michael for packing. Now, if I can just clean & set-up my craft area!!! 😜🤣😂

“The hardest thing in life to learn is which bridge to cross and which to burn.” Don’t remember where that comes from but your teachable moment reminded me of this quote. I think learning to balance between the two is a life long process; sometimes you leave the bridge up but no longer perform any maintenance. I’ve been a fence sitter on the flakes, but now, oh my! As soon as you started rubbing in the flakes I thought alcohol ink. The edges and various orientations of the flakes after they are rubbed in are perfect for a process I affectionately call “ crudding up”. I not a huge fan of blank smooth perfection. That’s probably why I don’t use mirror foils very often. Few moments in life call for it. I like objects and people who look like they’ve been through some stuff and have a story to tell. I just got my Fur Babies collection yesterday. Wowzers! Honestly there were a couple of stamps I thought I’d pass along when I ordered, but after actually holding them in my hand, nope. I’m keeping all of them. There’s a great balance between cute and sophistication in the collection. I also realized that there’s more occasions to use the pet images than I thought. I actually was gel printing with the dog and cat background dies last night. I used the dies straight away. The background dies are brilliant with a gel plate. Even the edge dies that are meant to trim the edges of the stamps have interesting uses for mixed media.

Loved your story! So important for the world we live in today, where it tends to be an all about "me" society. Values like those in your story seemed to have been left behind and forgotten. This way of thinking is becoming extinct. Instead, it's more about "I'm not going to take that" or "I don't have to deal with you" attitudes. Before reacting to things, we all need to take some time and mull things over. We all get hurt or upset over things, but taking that time to really look at the whole picture before reacting can make a world of difference. Thanks for sharing and enlightening us!
