These products are concentrated, more of a blend of exactly measured ingredients to target specific imbalances, it doesn't hurt to get extra help, aside from a good diet. The ingredients he mentioned work together and come from distant places, so we may not even have access to them.

My GI doc has used Xifaxin "off-label" for my SIBO previously. ended up in the heart hospital b/c they thought I was having a cardiac event. I was a cardiac critical care nurse, and told them, this is not my heart. After a week hosp stay and lots of cardiac testing, including thallium stress, it was determined, probably GI. I was so frustrated. The drug worked amazingly. stopped all pain within 48 hours, and went back to normal fairly quickly so I could build up my micro-biome and stay on track. problem is, it's extremely expensive. I needed 3 treatments of 90 days each. that was 10,000 a treatment. I couldn't afford that, so they finagled samples and we changed the dosing BID X 14 days, each treatment, and it really helped. it would be nice to have Xifaxin as a treatment so insurance would pay for it.

Even ivermectin outside the U.S. costs only $5 U.S. and that's a cheap, safe, effective, treatment for parasites.
