Sri Sathya Sai Students (Alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions) are organizing an evening program entitled SAMARPAN on the 2nd Sunday of every month at Sri Sathya Sai Prema Sadan Mandir, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam. It is about re-living those moments spent with HIM, re-connecting with HIM and soaking in the Divine presence. We have an opportunity to listen to the Leelas of the Lord through the devotees who were blessed with DIVINE association through “SAMARPAN”.
Prof. G. Nageswara Rao joined Swami's Institutions in 1982 for his MSc. degree, for which he received the Gold Medal from Bhagawan in 1984. Subsequently, as per Swami's instructions, He completed his PhD and was awarded the gold medal in 1989. From then, he has been Bhagawan's chosen instrument and has worked as a Faculty Member in the Department of Chemistry, SSSIHL. He is an ace organic chemist with more that 40 publications in reputed international journals and 2 patents. He also served as the Head, Dept. of Chemistry (2015-2018) and is now the Dean of Sciences at Prasanthi Nilayam Campus of SSSIHL.
He was blessed to accompany Bhagawan to Kodaikanal during two trips (1989 and 1997). He has been a role model for the students in the hostel, leading a pious life of a Brahmachari for the last 40 years. He has been the floor teacher for undergraduate students and has molded thousands of students into the Sai Path for about 4 decades now. In one of the interactions with students, Swami had acknowledged Sir's character and adherence to discipline by saying, "If there are 10 students like Nageshwara Rao in the hostel, I shall leave the mandir and stay in the hostel."
