#39 Haftarah Hukkat - The Power of Remembering what God has done for Israel in your Testimony!

Haftorah for Parashah Hukkat in Judges 11:1-33 describes how the people of Israel were attacked by the nation of Ammon. The Israelites engaged Jephtah (Yiftach in Hebrew) to lead them in battle against this military threat. Jephtah first sent a missive to Ammon, declaring his peaceful intentions and in his message, he also shares the testimony of how Yah has helped Israel in the past remembing the Israelites’ conquest of the lands of Sichon and Og, victories which are related in this week’s Torah reading Hukkat.
Torah Parashah Hukkat is from Numbers 19-22:1 and the Haftarah is taken from Judges 11:1-33

In answer to your quesstion, most pagan religions promote a triune godhead, but Judiasm is unique in that the greatest commandment - the Shema focuses on promoting that Adonai our God as One, and Adonai continually seeks to remind His people through His Torah that He is the only one, and their is no other. God is spirit without form and as such He also asks us to never worship any form or image of Him.

Awesome message and teaching as always. Continuing to love the Lord Our God and His Torah, His Word. However there is a part that I am in need of you to verify. That being Jesse’s sons. In the account of 1st Samuel 16:10-13 records 7 sons with the first three being named and then David being the eighth. In the account of 1st Chronicles 2:13-17 seven sons are recorded, their names being Eliab, Abinadab, Shimea, Nathaneal, Raddia, Ozem, and David and two daughters that were named Zeruiah and Abigail. There is no record of Jesse having 12 sons. Is there any other written record of this any were else in Jewish literature that states this information on Jesse having 12 sons. Please confirm this. Always enjoy listening to your teachings. Finding them to be uplifting and full of God’s light and His unwavering love for His people as He is beginning to gather His people together in fellowship and love. Shows the power of true repentance and that God can save and do beautiful things through anyone with a sincere heart to be "grafted-in" to Israel! Also not all descendants of Ham have nor had a tainted bloodline and God has grafted-in and used many throughout History so we should never generalize and judge but seek to save all who are willing.
