You do not need to do that. Its strong and durable enough to not crack. its made hollow to keep the weight on the low side.

I use to have grips on the tank shroud. They work well.

yeah not a huge fan either, especially how its just held with 3m and has hollow gaps. Looks cool though

Don't even ask and there is a high chance you will crack it. But Heat up the outside of the shroud where you out the tape and slowly start lifting corners
