Halloween Railfanning on Metro North at Riverdale. 10/31/24

We pretty much caught the PM Rush Hour at this swanky Bronx neighborhood station. You will see many trains and quite a few Heritage units and Budd M3A’s.  You will see a few drag races on this busy 4 track line. The Autumn foliage and Hudson River scenes are spectacular. On this Halloween evening , it is appropriate that the Ghost Engineer provides a scare to some bystanders. The Tommy Gun engineer also appears with horn artistry I have come to expect from him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!

Nice. This would also be the 3rd generation of locomotives to pull the Shoreliner cars if I recall. I wonder when they're going to replace the Shoreliners and the C3s over at LIRR. Also wonder when LIRR is getting their Chargers, if I recall both MNR and LIRR both ordered Chargers from that batch.

Found out the reason why P32 218 was on the lazar train. The usual engine that pulls it derailed in harmon yard due to a broken rail. I was talking to the operator of 639 to Mt. Kisco about it.
