Interesting quote about the writing on the wall and being weighed in the balances and found wanting see: CET (Christian Experience and Teaching by EG White) page 101. "I was shown a company who were howling in agony . On their garments are written in large characters "Thou are weighed in the balances and found wanting ". I asked who these companies were. The angel said ," these are those who once kept the Sabbath and have given it up. I heard them cry with a loud voice" we have believed in thy coming and taught it with energy."and while they were speaking their eyes would fall upon their garments And see the writing and they would Wail aloud. I saw that they had drunk of the deep Waters and fouled the residue with their feet and trodden the Sabbath under foot that was why they were weighed in the balances and found wanting.

Pastor Ryan said or quoted that lightning followed each letter written by the body-less hand. This is supported biblically by Job 36:32 and Job 37:3 God fills his hands with lightning and commands it. Which is further supported by Revelations4:5 and 8:5 and to an extent by Daniel 10:6.

Although Belshazzar was a heathen king God still held him accountable for his actions in breaking the 10 Commandments. "God will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain. "Using the Holy implements which would've had God's name engraved on them from the holy temple while praising other gods was an "in your face to God" and could not possibly be ignored.

Melanie, Yes, Belshazzar was a heathen king, but he was not ignorant. God said He winks when we do not know that we are doing wrong. If Belshazzar's ONLY problem was being a heathen king, God would not have dealt with him so harshly. However, Belshazzar knew because his grand-father Neb. told him everything. He was being punished for being defiant, and God had to deal with his defiance. Read what Daniel told him in Dan. 5:22-23.

Caribbean Girl just how much of the family history he paid attention to is questionable. Grandma had to enlighten him about Daniel's ability to interpret the dream see Daniel 5:10-12. I do not dispute he knew he was doing was wrong. Most people today also know they are doing wrong they just don't care see 1 Timothy4:2. Titus 1:15, James 4:17and first Timothy 1:19. Everybody claiming to be a Christian needs to be astute to when things no longer bother their conscience that should.

Hello. I am an adventist from California, may i know where can we find the names that was mentioned in 4:49, who said to be the ruler that ruled over babylon? bc i cannot see it after daniel 4. Please. 🤗🤗🤗

The body-less hand is only one of the visible signs that God had given of His presence. In genesis 9:13 he put his bow in the clouds as a sign of his covenant with man. This bow is mocked by the heathen , stolen , and missused . Just like the cups Belshazzer drank from. But it is part of God's appearance see Ezekiel 1:28. Also, God clothes himself with the clouds see Ezekiel 10:4 , 2 Chronicles5:4 and especially Revelations 10:1 . To the righteous ,called up to meet the Lord in the air at his second coming ,this is a comfort first Thessalonians 4:17. But Daniel 7:13 brings out something even more interesting it talks about Christ being brought in clouds of heaven to the Ancient of days by "they" . Looking back at verse 10 it seems to suggest that "they" are Angels. Which brings us to Hebrews 12 :1 "we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses" . Are these witnesses human or angels? What a lovely thought that our company could be heavenly . We are never alone. Daniel 6:10 his life line to heaven. Heaven is a crowded place no one is alone there.
