It worked amazingly well, cross-eyed! At one point I started to see three images, then I covered the corners of my sight with my hands so I could see only the middle image and voilà! It was blurry at first, but after a while the image got sharp, even! Fantastic.

Wow, this is the best one i''ve seen so far. No annoying double ghost. (i''m using amber/blue) Gonna try the other colours too. I love the technology behind it, the illusion.

Not exactly. You have to upload a stereo video--that is, dual images--one set (usually shot through one lens) for left eye, another for right. Render as for cross-eyed viewing, upload, and THEN add the yt3d:enable=true as last tag line, and that's it. KZbin encoding takes care of all the viewing variations such as parallel, cross-eyed, red/cyan, etc.

@momohead35 RealD Glasses work using polarized lenses. Which filter out light from specific directions. You can get cheep Rec/Cyan glasses for Anamorphic 3D. Also YT provides other viewing options. I prefer the Cross-Eyed viewing method. Which dose not require any equipment, but it will take some practice learn how to do it.

ah.. right it seems the full screen was the problem. In full screen my eyes seem to reach their limit when trying to merge the images from 4 into 3. In the normal sized box, I can easily merge them to create the 3D centre image. The effect worked very well, although my eyes kept slipping back to normal in the fade-to-black transistions.
@barichm0
@barichm0 15 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, full-screen mode doesn't work with the row interleaved modes (which are required for LCD shutter glasses or polarized monitors). KZbin should fix that as soon as possible.

What I see seems to be made for parallel view. How can I switch to cross-eye view? There is a 3D button at the bottom of the movie window, but when I click on it, there is no menu popping up, but instead "3D" turns into "!3D". :-(

Nice video. Just a question, from 0:41 to 0:45 the zoom sync seems to be off? Look at the flower at the back left. Is this true? or is it youtube processing causing the shift? I'd assume 3Ality's rigs were highly synced (or footage corrected in post) Still stunning 3D oveall!

@Soandnb Good to know what should happen. It seems that this feature only works in newer FlashPlayer versions. I tried on a current Kubuntu, where it works in principle (but has bugs). (Firefox availed itself of the opportunity of deinstalling some add-ons that I still need in the older Suse distro.)

After watching this several times in parallel I was able to succesfully switch to cross-eyed mode but I lost focus halfway though the video and can't get it back again. I gave up trying to do cross-eye and switched back to parallel and practice doing cross eye next time as I'm already having a headache.

Oh I see! So you get red/blue and you get red/green. But the red/cyan glasses are a kind of all round pair that work on both? That kind of makes sense now. By the way, when I watch this on Firefox, it works fine. But on Explorer, I get two seperate clear images without the red/blue lines.

So, do you have to upload the video already split in the middle, or can you upload the video without the double videos? I tried making my older videos 3D, but it just split my video in the middle and then swapped the sides.

@rr97khl It's just like cross-eyed, except your eyes shouldn't cross - the sight lines are parallel instead of crossing. It's the way one normally sees depth in the real world - not cross-eyed, and not needing any special glasses either.

if you get 3 images let your eyes relax a bit and only pay attention to the middle one. your brain combines the left and right into 3D but you will still see it in the peripheral
