3D animated video (Computer Controlled Elevator)

I did this video as part of my BSEET final presentation in college . The final project was a 3 foot tall model of an elevator that I built of wood, aluminum and used BASIC Stamp II to control it. Building the elevator took me about 2 weeks and since I had 4 months till it was due I started tooling around with 3D StudioMax. The full video is 28 minutes, but this is just the introduction. I thought it came out pretty good for my first time using animation software.
The elevator model is composed of over 1.2 million polygons.
