When you separated the head, torso, and arms. You used the pen tool, and made it as a selection. Then copied it to its own layer? You drag and drop it using the direct selection tool? Correct?

There is no one way of doing things in PS but all that smudging that probably took you an hour you could have done it in about 10 minutes. You could have duplicate the image, then the top one use gaussian blur and then cut away the corner and leave the inside of regions throughout the phone all blurred. Then if you needed more blurred surface you just duplicate it. This takes too long if I wanted to do it for selling it to customers the way you did it. Still very good outcome.

Really awesome bro... But unable to follow what tool you are using and settings you are using.... From Layer 7, suddenly it went to Layer 8 and no changes in color were made, but the highlight color changed from white to dark color.... Can you please create one more tutorial which says what you are doing with comments ? Can you please create an action file for this?

You watched it, saw what tool is being used, saw the order of operations... isn't this the fundamentals of a tutorial? Doesn't seem to differ from any other visual tutorial I've seen. If you need help I can distill it further. Start with a photograph, cut out the person, distort their form so they look irregular, smudge every detail of their body, add in details with brushes if necessary, place against a shape-based backdrop, add shadows using a feathered brush.

Cool, I created my profile from my own portrait pic 12 years ago using the smudge tool in photoshop 7.0 and kinda forgot how to use it and see it done. This was helpful. What is the name of the tool function for rounded head (big brain) look?... I don’t remember how I did it. I’d like to recreate it and make it better with HD for the hair and features. Great video!
