Haha yeah. I love those ornaments. It brings a lot of smiles to people's faces. I plan on making my own beard ornaments and beard beads out of wood eventually. Just need to figure out the logistics of it first

Most excellent instructional video. The video was super high quality resolution and your step-by-step verbal instructions were super easy to comprehend. The finished product was beautiful! I know a couple of seniors at our woodshop have made these, but they are a bit jittery, and you can tell in the final product. I have some basswood that im going to try it on, but I know itll look bland without any grain pattern to it. Then I'll try a species has a bit more grain structure. Cheers!

Thank you so much for this. I am honored that you thought so highly of it. I intend to do more instructional videos in the future when I have the time and hearing this was a nice boost for me. I hope you have tons of fun trying out different species to see how they look!

Lmao yeah always building up more stuff for festival season. "Never" anytime to clean the shop, only time to make more cool stuff to sell to people. One of these days I'll clean it haha.

How much is the cutting part of the tutorial sped up?
@countrycraftscustomwoodworking
@countrycraftscustomwoodworking 7 ай бұрын
If I remember correctly when I speed up the videos it's usually 800%. Going through 1.5" you want a nice even pace so you don't bow the blades and angle your cuts. Once you get the hang out it you can probably get one done in 20-30 ish minutes.

Hi! How fast are you running the scroll speed? Like 80%?
@countrycraftscustomwoodworking
@countrycraftscustomwoodworking 10 ай бұрын
Hello! For the soft material that I'm using, pine in this case, you can go full speed and it doesn't burn. Similar woods like basswood and cedar should be fine as well. I would assume harder woods you would want slower speeds.
