If you want to scale up the box by pressing S key in keyboard and if you want to scale up then you have to press X for up side xyz scale.

Baywenber if you need to increase the velocity. you can open the blender & physics properties and select the soft body go to down menu and click on Field Weights there is section of Gravity you can increase & decrease the ball will go faster & slower.
