What can I use in small space if I don't have epoxy

You will need something for the final coats to get that glass finish. Either epoxy or Brite tone.

Do you have to bake before using?

You bake the clay once that step is done proceed to make the cup as usual. After there is epoxy on the cup you can expose it to the heat of the oven 😉 - Geri
