Thanks Debbie, I don’t normally share things like this, but to give you more encouragement, I had a totally hysterectomy including all my lymph nodes as I had cancer. If there’s one bit of advice I can give, is when they tell you to walk, do it, little by little, but make sure you get up and about, it can be incredibly painful but it will help you in the long run, I promise, unless, of course your doctors tell you not to, after all we’re all different. 🥰🥰 Wishing you every success with your surgery and before you know it you’ll be crafting in no time. I hope you are on the mend and I'm so glad you get to craft while healing. I use coffee filters as well and find sometimes there is a little left behind so I write the name/color of the powder on the filter and have a stack of them with my powders to reuse without getting a stray white in my black and vice versa. If you're going to keep using them you might want to try smaller filters, they might be easier to use with the small bottles. Get well soon and Happy Crafting!

I just love your tutorials! I bought a piece of glass at the hardware store and put masking tape around the edges. Then on one side I taped Graph paper. The other side I use to do my scrapbooking. Easy clean up and storage.❤

I've built up quite a collection of the Altenew 3D embossing folders and have to agree, they're beautiful. I saw a suggestion about using the domed foam applicators with the little handled round velcro applicators to ink the 3D embossed card. I had my doubts, but it worked quite well and seemed easier to control than the brushes (at least for me). I'm always looking for new ideas, so thanks for the card inspiration. Hope you continue to be on the mend 😊.

Hope you are better soon. I too have had surgery and cannot lift heavy items so manual die cutting is out for now.....I really miss being able to just grab a box of dies off my shelf. I am sticking to watercolouring things I stamped before my op but you are tempting me to crack open my embossing powders following your last few demos. I would never have thought to use my brayer/embossing powder on embossed paper! You’ve opened up a whole new world for me and I want to go look at all my embossing folders again. Brilliant Elaine, never be nervous, it’s a piece of card at the end of the day, if I do something I’m not happy with I often, die cut in to a small heart and adhere that to a card. Just play 🥰🥰🥰

In fact i did something similar when I made a lovely backing card the other day by blending colours and I was mad with myself as I smudged it with some black dye but I then put a die cut heart over it with a sentiment so it wasn’t wasted ..very pleased with myself then 😃x

Try tearing that floral out and ink the edges, it's beautiful torn out. That crosshatch is really cool! And I am so not used to embossing I never thought to emboss an image from an embossing folder! I just love it! I had to do my card on a horizontal way to fit. I'll send you an image since we actually have one of the same things! I did buy Julie Hickeys foil flowers after watching you and of course tons of powders we have the same LOL

fabulous card with the thanks so much! I did a folder with a very similar pattern on a rainbow mirror card stock in the blue and green section only. I didn't use all the colors of the sheet. It looks great on a foil or mirror cardstock!

Me, too, @cathy laycock . I use Aleene's a lot. I also have some Elmer's and other brands that aren't used by mainstream card makers. I bought a couple of very fine tip bottles from Amazon to put it in to help with not putting too much. I've not had a problem with them, so I can't justify the expense here.

They would make beautiful sympathy cards Robin. All WOW powders and glitters are static free, I think the way I applied these powders meant I would get little spots. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hi Mary, of course. I use my Sizzix big shot foldaway machine with the multi purpose platform, all tabs closed, then the 3D folder with card in it, then the Sizzix clear plate, when you give it a go, make sure the folder is in the middle of the plates and not hanging over the edge, if it just won’t go don’t force it, as I understand it all the machines can have slightly different pressures, I hope that helps 🥰🥰🥰

here's what I did. I've come to despise my 3D embossing folders because they won't go thru my machine. Finally tried a thinner piece of plexiglass than the normal sandwich plates by Sizzix. I believe mine is a broken piece of sign frame from a retail store. It's much more flexible & ramps up & over the folder (set your embossing folder askew/catty cornered) allowing it to grip & feed through. I like my 2D folders best.

Absolutely love the 3D embossing folders like you do! I made a mess of an embossed word so I versamark Ink snd reheat it snd while hot dipped in the powder and tested again. Several layers. Oh my goodness how it jumps out. Thanks for sharing your cards.

Hope your recovery is swift. Sometimes I think the funnest part of making cards is embossing powder. So many cool ways to use it. That color on the word "bestie" looks so good with the Catherine Pooler ink, just lovely. Also love the cross hatch on the flower. It's fun to see the same embossing folder used different ways as well, thanks for the video.

There's a glue called Bearly art glue that I have seen used. Have not tried it as I use and love Reptile glue. Thanks Posh Paper Lady. Love these cards you did!

Thank you Risa, I’ve never heard of reptile glue 🤯🤯 My friend is in the states right now and going to see if she can find me some Bearly Art Glue, Amazon in the uk want £45 for 2 oz 🤯🤯🤯🤯🥰🥰🥰

If you brush powder or corn starch over the card before you add the embossing ink, you will avoid having the embossing powder on places you don't want it....
