You're getting ridiculously good at this. :) I always wonder what Benoit himself would think seeing fractal work such as this.

Are you serious?? ... that's it... I'm selling everything I have for $1 and going silently away... If a big Hollywood studio doesn't hire you, I will! When I hit the lotto! Exceptional work, as always!

Julius, you are as usual blowing minds here (and must certainly keep rendering farms busy)... this is exceptionally colourful and conveys a uniquely sublime ambience with your choice music, any chance there is a place to download a 4K or 360 version? The youtube downloader seems to max out at 1440.

I'm sorry, this was only rendered in 2K. (1920x1080) I'd love to make a VR version of this, but that will be a lot of work...

just awesome dude. Do you know the band tool? You have to do a "Music Video" to "Lateralus" xD They´re very psychodelic, the song is about the fractals and fibonacci sequence in nature

Incredible video! I myself aspire to be this good at visual effects one day, I rather new to fractals but I'm interested in how you apply the textures and colours so well, do you add allot in post render in software like after effects or do you use some other software or method. I'm very interested in learning more about this stuff

Good to hear you have aspirations! I have some tutorials on my website that might help you out with your questions: www.julius-horsthuis.com/tutorials/

Julius Horsthuis thanks so much, I appreciate it!

Julius Horsthuis thank you really helped! I have installed Mandelbulb 3d and done some learning of the UI, I am amazed to how you make it look like architecture in some of the scenes, is there specific formula arrangments for that or is it just practice and skill to get that effect, another thing I find mind blowing is the light pulses and changing colour patterns, is that some sort of post production process in another software or is it all done within the Mandelbulb GUI?
@julius-horsthuis6 жыл бұрын
Practice indeed. Also, the flashes that go with the music are done in post (After Effects)
@danielevans31656 жыл бұрын
Julius Horsthuis no short cuts, just hard work I guess. Thanks for the response, I use after effects rather frequently, do you use any plugins for those effects?

I just watched Dr Strange, the movie, last weekend. Come on, did you do all the fractal effects? ... Maybe you didn't, yours are so much better! :-)
@julius-horsthuis7 жыл бұрын
I was asked for the movie in the first place, but the job required relocating so it didn't happen in the end. Luma pictures did many of the fractal effects in that movie. They did a great job.

+Julius Horsthuis Wow. Did you really pass up on Docter Strange? Would have been great on your portfolio
@gerardomorales1517 жыл бұрын
+Julius Horsthuis Also, how did you do the Audio reactive segment? I assume you did it with another 3D program with the Fractals from Mandelbulb3D
