Do you need GPU processing to use depth cameras or can I use my average Dell laptop without any Nvidia or stuff like that?

No. Any laptop/pc will do. The beauty of the RealSense and Zed cameras is that they do all of the depth processing on the camera itself so no extra processing is required on the PC.

Yes, kind of. The 3D depth data is provided and used as a gray-scale image, so you could use a standard webcam image going into a Monochrome_TOP or Threshold_TOP to get a nice result.
