i've tried the head multiple times and can't quite master it, so that makes me wonder if the string matters? i'm using somewhat thick fish line, and the beads won't make that some shape, but i don't have a needle, so do you need a needle to do this? i'm making this for my niece who loves dino's, and she'd love this . i hope i can make it right, but thank you so much for the tutorial!

Honestly believe the string makes the difference. I unstrung and restrung beads onto fishing line for an hour trying to get it to work but soon as i switched to the stretchy cord it was sitting so much better
