This was excellent, thank you. Depth is everything! Even in other areas...migration is an issue because of this as well, especially in the cheeks.

We must not forget that the anatomy of a lip is modified when a lip has been previously injected and several patients seek more volume before its filler has been absorbed

Is there anything you can recommend practicing on to understand depth more clearly. I’m a very visual person and also learn best hands and would love to have something (maybe fruit or veg?!) that I could observe depths on and how it looks / feels on the needle. Thank you for another fab and informative video.

It can depend on which muscles were affected as to whether or not your risk further complications chasing. Sometimes especially with lower face toxin that time is the best option to let nature take its course. Encourage plenty of facial exercises too to get that movement back as soon as possible. Often enough the dose is small and muscle use is returning sooner than you thought. Kind regards Mary. Clinical advisor for Dr Tim

Trina, I find this concerning. I have done my cheeks twice: once in mid-July (1 ml per cheek) and once in September (.5 ml added to each cheek as a touch up because I was very coservative to begin with) I was fully healed less than 2 weeks after each, with no noticeable swelling. If I have had the procedure done twice in less than 8 weeks and not only am I fully healed but they have settled well, I am concerned about you still being in pain and showing bruising/swelling 3 months later. Go back and see your injector and ask what is going on. If it is nothing, we can all laugh about how concerned it is. But if it is something...well, I worry for you! Please update me so my heart wont hurt so much. We might be strangers but you sound so scared in your message.

@@beatrizgill I got a appointment with a different place Monday. I did send Dr. pics and talked on the phone over a month ago . She said wait longer. and if did not go away she would dissolve it on right side ,but will not dissolve the left side nor will she ever add any back in ever..( WHAT )that would look dumb. It dont hurt now. But the middle of cheek is a silver blue on right side its hard to cover up left side under middle cheek eye same way . it is also uneven . I was blamed that it was me, a infection from tooth pulled few months back. I went back to my dentist they did X-rays checked for everything nope i was fine . I had NO infections. I think it is Tyndall . I hope she did not get in a artery. It Did hurt so bad as she was digging into my cheeks to get the canal in. And hurt really bad for a few weeks. But i am with out pain now, I never busied much if any before. Nor has it ever hurt having filler put in before. But it sure did this time. I will let you know next week. Thank you Beatriz for the email.

Hello there. Keep me posted. I am sending you warm healing thoughts and prayers. I hate to hear this because I am enjoying my cheek filler so much and I want for others to enjoy when they make the personal decision to fight aging. It's just my opinion I of course have an exam and deal I'm not a doctor nothing like that but it just doesn't sound like you've done anything to contribute to it. I sure hope you feel better soon I look forward to hearing from you in a few weeks.

And how to avoid them ? I don’t think this video is very clear
@georgiemorrison1169
@georgiemorrison1169 2 жыл бұрын
Essentially to avoid them on a younger person you want to inject anything less that 5mmls so around 2-3 monks depth near the vermillion border to miss the arteries. If it is an older person or someone with thinner lips I think the arteries are more nearer the surface of the lip, I can’t remember how deep he said that their arteries are but yeah, you want to go more superficial.

How deep should lips be injected in a middle aged person hoping for a little curl upward and minimizing lumps if injected too superficially or dissolving too fast if injected too deeply, but especially avoiding vascular issues from hitting an artery? He mentioned 1-3 but he was also talking about younger people.
@DrTimPearce
@DrTimPearce 2 жыл бұрын
All lips whether young, old and everyone in between there isn’t a distinct “this is where you inject”. It’s about gauging the lip in its 3D form. Typically a younger person may have more fat and the muscle maybe more bulky. As they maybe they don’t so we can only treat and devise a plan with what we see in front of us. There is no one size fits all. But typically knowing what depths look like is key to safety and good results. Not being able to see the grey of the needle when lifting the needle up is the right type of superficial and not being too close to the wet dry border well improve the risk of lumps. A good product and even distribution with aid with lump free treatment too. I hope some of this helps. Kindest regards Mary. Clinical advisor for Dr Tim

@@Poochipup it’s a tricky line yes but I say it many time. That sometimes you can learn from your patients. You can broaden your thought process by being questioned by patients. I like that patients have some idea what’s going on rather than going in blindly. I wouldn’t be offended. And many other medics wouldn’t either. Kind regards Mary.

You better believe this especially if you have a patient who has an undiagnosed connective tissue or vascular disorder. You could kill them! Especially if your migration is fast and collapses or reacted intravascualr. Cadaver is whatever it’s your live subjects pumping and seizing that are your main concern. Good luck!!!

It's more that you should develop an acute and high resolution awareness of depth. You can then make decisions about volume and position more clearly, as sometimes you need to be a little deeper in the lip body.
