The matte painting is ok but you should have projected certain parts of it for more depth. And the camera movement is jzst far to big. Try 1/8 of it and it won't reveal that it's just a painting

Google masking , and for example If u have mountain and water view cut the mountain view via masking effect and keep it as separate layer then the water use the select tool in ps Then u will have 3 layer Original one with some sand footage since u removed rest 2 the mountain layer 3 water layer save as ps file You are done
