At the start the dimension that the plan was scaled to was incorrect - the reference line should have been 9’-8”, but 9’-6” was input so the whole drawing was out of scale

This is a good eg of why an MCAD software is tedious for architectural work. You need higher level primitives like walls doors windows etc. You need a way to select a wall and move it while keeping all wall connections intact.

Hi What app do you use to record your videos?
@cap8714 жыл бұрын
I have just started working with Shapr. First thing you will notice is the total lack of any sort of annotation functions. Without that, this is a fun design toy. There are no print layouts, no notes, title blocks, dimensions, center lines, nothing that takes a drawing and makes it a working drawing. If the answer is Export it to your CAD software to do this then the answer is In other words, just stick to your CAD software

Hi! Thank you for reaching out to us :) We will be releasing this feature in a few weeks' time and you can help us to beta test it here: www.shapr3d.com/drawings Meanwhile in the app supports exporting your sketches with dimensions to all PC CAD tools as shown in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGrcaZ9nnsiGi7M You can also lock your sketch dimensions as explained in the above video and then make a screenshot of your sketches. To create Isometric PDF drawings a workaround can be to export your model to a CAD app that supports CAM (making PDF technical drawings from your model) in STEP, IGES formats. We have a great short tutorial video on this using Shapr3d and Fusion360 and here's the link to the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6mYoaqQjs51qaM I hope this is somewhat helpful and feel free to get back to me if you have any further questions, I will be happy to answer them.

@@Shapr3d Well that is fantastic news. I would be more than willing to speak with someone regarding this. I started as a pen and ink draughtsman back in the dark ages, got Acad when it was sold in the back of magazines on a 4.5" floppy and have continued ever since.

You totally missed the point of this app. Because it doesn't contain these things noobies like me can easily learn it. People love it because it's easy. Please stick to whatever you are using.
@cap8712 жыл бұрын
@@johndavid3114 they're not making the app as a toy for people to play with. They're making it as a new type of CAD. You require annotation in CAD or it is just a toy. That is why quite some time ago they added annotation. You are missing the point of reality and requirement

Thanks for this. I’ve been trying to build a room based on my studio and NOTHING was working right. So frustrating. It’s a little distracting in the beginning doing the scale as 9’6” instead of 9’8”, and how the front wall is 17’10” and so far overshoots the laundry room, but so far the drawing hasn’t been scaled to match so none of the walls line up. Trying to follow, but there’s a lot to mentally keep track of so not to get confusing. I love your pacing, and how simple you make it though.

Oh ops slight oversight - the video shows however a process that applies to modeling in general. Shapr is actually a very useful modeler when on site doing modeling on the iPad.

Hi there, you can bring up all Translate options by simply double-tapping(clicking) on the body to select the whole body.

Hi! You can export files from Shapr3D which are compatible with most major CAD software, and Apple’s AR ecosystem! You can see the full list of supported formats here: support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004073614-Which-file-formats-can-I-export-from-Shapr3D-

Does anyone know how to add sheets to a drawing. The only way I seem to be able to do this is by creating a new drawing for different views. Also, is there a way to rotate sections? They only project from the section lines so any projection facing the drawing south is upside down and the east and west are sideways.
@G_____2 жыл бұрын
I’ve grown to really enjoy this app. Only criticism is with creating architectural/construction drawings. I don’t wan’t to have to export to a separate app just to create a presentation package for a client.
@Shapr3d2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thank for your feedback, we'll take it into consideration. As for your questions: The multi sheet drawing feature is currently under development. Please follow us to get more updates on new feature releases. As for the rotate sections, we are following the ANSI and ISO standards which are the most common US and European standards. The units and the projections we apply are connected with the selected standard and it could result in the flipped projections. If your projection seems to be upside down, try changing the drawing standard between ANSI/ISO. You can do it in your drawing settings.

Do u have to have an Apple Pencil and can’t just do it with your finger

The window alignment should be a drag into position with a smart guide snap confirmation. In other words one should be able to just drag the element into position with the y & x smart guides appearing when dead centre. Or at least a function that’s closer to ‘concentric’ in the case of circles/ellipse. Otherwise Great video.👍🏼 I’m currently modelling a latrine outhouse with a sloping roof for water dispersion. I was hoping to see that in this video. Is there a part 2 by any chance?

Hello. I just want to make new models for my hack but I'm stuck in the configuration phase (step 6/7), which says me to switch camera to 3d view and I don't know how to do this.😄
@Shapr3d2 жыл бұрын
To turn into the 3D space, the user will have to pan the camera. This differs from device to device, on iPad, it is the rotation with one finger, but with a mouse, it is by holding down the Shift key, secondary click (or right-click), and drag the mouse, or Drag the mouse while holding down the Shift key and the middle mouse button.

In catia i have to choose inner or outer thikness and so i just h,ave to draw the outer shape and then I’m finished… would love you implement this
