For such a table, this technique is quite suitable. But 99% frame furniture, all parts are designed immediately in 3D, starting from a box the size of the product and then peel away details from it with the Slice command or (much faster still) with the ASL command from the A>V>C> Slice plugin. There is a detailed manual on my website.
