My grandpa actually HAS a Luger! The story is that his friend, Elmer, in ww2 captured a German officer, and got his Luger, 3 magazines with 9mm rounds, and leather holster. Before he died, he gave them to my grandpa, who still has it With the original ammo. He hasn’t fired it (to my knowledge) and oils it from time to time so it has a nice gloss. I’ve held it, and got shivers thinking about how most of the people who held this gun/ worked on it are dead. I will fight my dad tooth and nail to get it.

My grandfather had a luger. He lost it when he surrendered to the Brits LOL. His life was hell and he tried to escape his unbelievable living and working conditions by joining the army... When the Germans invaded, they were the ones that punished the landlord who had abused him and so many others and they offered him a paid job and not just food-scraps and a place next to the pigs... That brought him to the outskirts of Stalingrad, where he got shot and sent home and he recovered just in time to be sent to fight the invasion in the Normandie. There he got injured so badly by a bomb that it's nothing short of a miracle that he even survived! After hearing that the Americans had captured a German unit and executed everyone on spot (mistaking them for Waffen SS apparently, which would be still a war-crime), they fought against the Americans to the last bullet and surrendered to the British at the first opportunity. As said, my grandfather was severely injured, but he was still fighting and then ran over to the British, who actually treated his wounds (which surprises me). He had multiple shrapnel stuck inside his torso and one lodged inside his brain! He had lost his sense of smell and taste, and a big part of his ability to hear, but he somehow survived despite that metal piece that they didn't dare to remove...

is it possible to add caps at the end of the bulet so that it makes a funny noise?
@tacobelllordyungfettuccine64373 жыл бұрын
Maybe, but I would not suggest it, as with caps there’s usually a way to vent out smoke and I’m not sure the effect the heat would have on the plastic, I suppose it’d depend on what you print with

@xanathar23283 жыл бұрын
@@retrotechstuff7683 I mean, you can add thin pices of metal separating the plastic and the caps
@jerryudonneedtoknow39033 жыл бұрын
So this string of comments is sort of irritating me. First yes you can, just edit the cartridge file to accommodate the cap or just 3d model one to have a groove to fit the cap. It's a 3d model, if you can edit it, you can basically do anything or add anything that doesnt go beyond its limits. Second, it's all about filaments and that's ticking off. Yes certain filaments can handle it, you just gotta find the right one. For example PLA is a bad choice cuz it can shatter easily, warp easily, and it's not heat resistant. ABS and PTEG are a good enough choice because both have good heat resistant qualities and are quite durable. Now to ensure the thing doesn't blow up in your hand or face, make sure the your cartridges have at least 90% infill, it's the best way to ensure the thing doesn't shatter. Along with that, make sure the breech and/or sliding part is heavy in infill to, I don't know how much pressure and heat is generated by the cap but a more solid piece with lessen the chance of cracking or shattering from any high pressure, it'll also disperse the heat better and give it a even more solid structure. I'm rushing typing this so this is all I can put (Oh yeah just too make it clear, I know it won't explode but the plastic might shatter, so the infill is very important if you do this)

Just seeing all the parts laid out and watching them be assembled is oddly relaxing. The amount of research and engineering that went into this piece of history makes it almost timeless.
