Couple if questions from a noobie here. Is that xtc3d just epoxy resin? If so why don't you cover the whole helmet to reduce layer lines. Wouldn't that get rid of the need for bondo? With the red how long did you wait between the 1st and 2nd coat and how long begot the clear coat?

Hello! Yes you’re right about the XTC-3D, and you can definitely cover the entire helmet in it. Sometimes I do, but I think the Bondo is more user friendly. XTC-3D can pool in certain areas and is a pain to sand after that, you have more control with the Bondo (this particular model with not wanting to cover the details), and the XTC-3D working time is probably only about 6 minutes, and after that it thickens up and is hard to apply. For the paint I do a few light coats within a few minutes of each other. For the clear it’s anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Hope that helps!
