Thanks for putting the time in on your file and this video. I came across your 3D print file on Thingiverse which lead me to this video. Cool to see that you're playing at Plains Park as I used to play there while living in Chalfont. Have you run into issues with squeaking between your wheels, bearings, and axle? Whenever you've got moving parts that are the same material, squeak tends to be a common issue and just wondering if you've come across this already?

is there a Version 2 of this?

@Print Practical I'm wondering how this has held up? I'm thinking of trying to print one up for the spring with some modifications to include some stroller wheels I have.

This is awesome, how has it held up for you? Also have you made any other changes to it, thinking about printing this thing!!!

One thing that has happened is that the handle knob broke off in the handle. I’m not super pumped about the rigidity of the handle. I may make an adapter to use a wood handle instead. I’ll update here in the near future.

I have a printer ender 3 but i decided to make mine out of PVC due to material cost. I also repurposed some lawn mower wheels i found in the trash using a piece of all thread for the axle. I didn't glue a few joints so that it will fold up and fit in my miata. I also put a piece of metal tubing in my handle to give it rigidity for pushing. Use a 4 way at the mid point and come out a little so the straps ride the cart like a backpack lol.

Yeah, I definitely would recommend sourcing most of the parts from other products. I think this was more of an experiment to show how capable a printer can be, rather than what you should do.

@Print Practical yeah I designed something and when I saw how much plastic 1 piece would be I changed direction. Maybe a design that has pvc supports.

No offense. I'm not trying to be a troll here and I understand that this is a 3D printing channel(although it's called print practical, not print everything), but I think some parts just shouldn't be 3D printed. I would never print a tube, especially in sections, when so many tubes exist and in so many sizes and if you need threads on the end, you could even use a broom stick. Same thing with the wheels. I found a jogging stroller on Facebook Marketplace for $7.00. It comes with 3 wheels, bearings included. Still it's an interesting exercise, I guess. If you want to make it stronger and stiffer, you might consider some triangulation. Good luck.

Haha no offense taken. I get it, it’s pretty easy to build an affordable cart. I think this was more of an experiment to show how capable 3D printers can be. Is it the strongest? No, but one day I had nothing, and then a few days later I had a fully functional device. I definitely agree though, you could easily build a strong cart via sourcing parts. Thanks for watching !
