Just a proof of concept(a very questionable concept), knew this 10% infill one would only last a few minutes. Will try a solid one next.

For sure, good for mockup if ever I don’t have the steel idlers I need yet. The lawn ranger is just a Guinea pig for belt system ideas, gonna see how far I can go with the 3D printed stuff I guess!

@@RichieRichOverdrive steel is better, I'm about to replace the idler with a metal one that has a guard on it.

@@Mo_2118I never had a problem with the normal plastic ones, the bearings in them lock up just the same as a steel one. Just a bit more catastrophic when the belt eats a plastic idler lol

print them standing up so the layers dont gets in line of the belt, and add thin ca glue after print. im guessing this was pla

Yeah just PLA. Printed a solid one we’re gonna see how it lasts

@@RichieRichOverdrive The problem is the layers. use heat, aceton or thin ca glue. you will 10x the life. But fun to test default first i guess

@ThunderDivine definitely agree with you. All in fun for sure, good for kicking up a system before you get your hands on idlers too
