Its pretty great that the cartridge slot actually holds the switch cartridges

Cool! I'm the designer of BMO dock stand (selled by Made In urbana and other ^^') I really like your version, especially the addition of a compartment to store the cartridges, great job!

I don't have a switch yet but I would want this for when I do get one. And a 3d printer too lol... so I would want a notification when it's posted as well.

I love this, but I do have one question: is fondant another term in the 3d printing/crafts community? The only "fondant" I know is the edible kind for cake decorating!
@CASSDesigns3 жыл бұрын
No it’s not you might’ve misheard me, are you talking about when I said bondo? Sometimes I talk a bit fast in my videos I’m working on slowing down!

I'm having trouble printing the face plate, I can't seem to get supports under the plate so it doesn't fall apart. Could you list the settings you use for that part? 😮
@snakethereaper6435 Жыл бұрын
Nvm I found out that I didn't mess with the left side options on cura, they were grayed out for me until I clicked on the model then selected the 3rd option down (put supports everywhere, zigzag) which put supports under the model.

What’s the cheapest printer I could buy to make this?
@CASSDesigns3 жыл бұрын
An Ender 3 is what I use and it’s around $200 I think - any printer with a ~200 x 200 x 200 mm build volume should be good

Nice! Wheres the HDMI out tho?
@CASSDesigns3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t include one since I’d use this for when I want to use the switch screen, but if I bought a cable that was USB-C to USB-C and HDMI out, you could route the cables through the back of him

Hey so when I downloaded the files, the legs are super super tiny, scaling issue?
@CASSDesigns3 жыл бұрын
yeah i think i exported them from fusion 360 wrong, scale them up 2540% and you should be good. (25.4 mm in 1 inch)

How much material did it take to print all of this?
@CASSDesigns3 жыл бұрын
I don’t 100% remember but definitely less than 1 KG of filament - depends on how much infill and support you use
@ivyyang21392 жыл бұрын
for some reason, the buttons came out to be enormous :( what would you recommend scaling down to?

Your slicer must’ve scaled it to 10,000% automatically - it needs to be scaled to 2540%
