Im lost ont he part with sketching lines and then using pipe to fill it in. Im guessing you made holes for the screw eyes but closed them up? Its awesome catching fish on lures you make!
@WMBayouLures3 жыл бұрын
Ahh sorry for the confusion. The pipes are used to cut out the pilot holes for the screw eyes. The resin is very hard once it is cured and you can't force the screw eyes into it. You could drill after the fact but why do all that extra work? I use the pipe command as an easy way to place them exactly where I want and at the angle I want.

Can you put wire through the baits during the printing process?
@WMBayouLures2 жыл бұрын
Not while printing but you could model a hole all the way through the bait or worst case, print it in 2 halfs and glue it together.

can you stop the process mid-stream to add weight?
@WMBayouLures3 жыл бұрын
That is a bit tricky with resin printers since the model is hanging upside down. I am sure with the right planning and model design you might be able to pull it off. That process is much easier to do with and FDM printer

Dude your videos are so so helpful. I'm getting into 3d lure making and can't tell you how much time this is saving me. I am definitely going to be getting a resin printer, what's your favorite printer?
@WMBayouLures2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment! Printers are largely the same. I use Epax E10 printers but upgraded to the metal build plate. I prefer them only because they have US warehouses and stock replacement parts. So when I need a replacement part I can get it quickly. I have an entire video on this topic here, also there is a discount code for Epax in that video as well - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZrLf2mneZqSmNk
