OK, my obsession with tinkering on my guitars has me really considering buying a 3D printer after watching this video. 😂 You can also put an EMG T-set into a Tele. I put one in mine. That's also a solderless setup only the pickups are active. The only drawback is that you have to mount a 9V battery under the control panel and occasionally have to take off the control panel to change the battery. Of course, you could also design and print a body with the cutout for a 9V battery box on the back of the guitar like most guitars with active pickups have.

The Telecaster is my favourite solid body guitar and I really enjoyed watching this build, I think making use of the AMS system by applying xhamfers or filets to the join lines and colouring those joints with a filament close to the resin colour or an alternative accent colour would add to the aesthetics.

Hello! I’ve really enjoyed your videos lately! This was great to see as I am trying to do a similar guitar project. But for the body core where you did 6 walls and 40 infill, do you feel like it could be stronger? Is there a lot of flex or tuning stability?
@the3dprintzone8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! With 6 walls and 40% infill, the core came out very strong. You could of course increase to an even high wall count and higher infill if you want even more strength, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

cool work. Only the strings are not well-centered. The high E is too close to the edge of the neck, while the low E is way too far.
@kitchenbriks36858 ай бұрын
Doesn’t the neck creep over time?

Between the higher infill percentage, additional wall layers, and neck plate the neck stays fairly firm to the body.

@boctok553 ай бұрын
It would be great if you could list the dimensions of each piece. My print bed is only 200mm X 200mm and I don't think some of these will fit. I don't want to pay for the files only to find that I can't use them.
@the3dprintzone3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The parts can fit on a 256mm x 256mm bed. The Core, Outer 1, and Outer 2 parts will be too large for a 200mm x 200mm bed. That being said here are few options you could try to make them work with your printer.... 1.Tilt the parts partially vertically upwards. This option will require more support material, but may allow the parts to fit the bed..... 2. Split the parts into smaller sections. This option may cause issues if you split the center core of the body (as this part holds the string tension between the bridge and neck). Hopefully that helps!
@boctok553 ай бұрын
@@the3dprintzone I thought about splitting the core and adding carbon fiber tubes, but I may see if the tilt works first.
