What if your main board doesn’t have a piezo/pico speaker? Any work around?

I set a custom command for z axis that made a chirp whenever the gantry moves in z. I forgot about it until I enabled z-hop for a very challenging torture test (a little tea-candle sconce with a webbed wall, intended for LED tealights). The racket was astounding.

I got it working but the beep is so horribly loud, I think I will have to do what the internet people are saying and put some bluetack or tape on the speaker.

I'd love for it to work for me,mount for some reason, the bigtreetech skr mini e3 v2 board doesn't do different tones, only the same note. I've set it up to play a tone though once hot end reaches temp, another two short tones when it homes, and there super short tones when the print starts. Finally there's a "ta-dah!" At the end of a print.

I tried this, but every note has the same frequency beep. Do you have to put "SPEAKER" before the M300 command? Im using an ender 3 v2, so im pretty sure the piezo can do different tones

No, just the M300. My guess is that they don't have it assigned to a PWM line anymore. So its just sending ON/OFF to a beeper now. This will vary by 3D printer make and model.

anyone got any ideas where you could connect a speaker on an Ender 5 Plus, there is a slot at the back of the touchscreen but that only enables touchscreen sounds and not M300 sounds

It's not enabled in firmware You will need to compile custom firmware

i ripped all the piezo speakers out of mine with some pliers , don't want my printers sounding like a Nokia 3210 😁
