This is one of the reasons why I consider this one of the best knex channels NGL

That's super cool! I personally modeled mine to look similar to TT2's trains. I can't wait to see the final product!

I can't wait for the airlaunch project! Wanted to build this myself, but can never find the time :(

I'm super excited to start sharing the progress for it. Its definitely going to be a huge time commitment, but it's also a project I've been wanting to do for a while!

These trains seem like a significant improvement and I’m excited to see how you’re next project turns out!

I absolutely love your videos!!! Rewatched every one of them like 3 or 4 times x3 Y'know... I'd love to see an inverted coaster or a wing coaster train. Just something that would feel so cheeky to have on knex track. :)

Thank you! I'm really happy that other people are enjoying them and I'm working hard to get some more out! I've gotten a lot of requests to do both and I'd love to get to them eventually. I'm working on an air launch for a k'nex coaster. I could make winged trains for it while I'm at it!

I was just watching your previous videos a month or so ago and was wondering where you went after that last one. Glad to see it is still on.

with the magnetic brake fins on the trains you could probably do an LIM launch like the ones found on older premire rides launch coasters like Mr. Freeze.
@ModeledCoasters8 ай бұрын
I'm actually hopeful to build a LSM launch someday in the future. These trains sit higher off the track. With the added height I've been able to squeeze some magnets underneath for roll back brakes on my air launch project. I'd like to try to use the magnets for a LSM launch at some point in the future.

Those trains look amazing hoping you get more ones so you can build better and longer layouts

Thank you! I have a second one that was printed in red filament. I hope to use both in my next project that I'm working on

@@ModeledCoasters also really looking forward to the pneumatic launch would you add the retractable brake fins like on maxx force ?

These are super cool! Could you let me know what bearings you use and where you purchased them from? Thanks!
@ModeledCoasters26 күн бұрын
Thank you! These are 10x5x4 mm ball bearings that I believe are intended for RC cars. They come with a rubber shield and are packed with grease. I've removed their shields and the grease to decrease their resistance. I purchased them from Amazon, but they are also available from RC car websites or AliExpress.

@ awesome! Thanks for the quick response! I’m looking at making my own 3d printed model coaster soon, and was trying to find some bearings for the bogies that will be appropriate lol. I’m going to be using PFTE tubing as the “track” and will be 3d printing some track spines for it. Anyways, cool project and keep up the good work!

Any chance of releasing these files? I'm just getting back into making K'nex coasters, and would love to print these on my own printer

you should make custom supports instead of rmc truss supports everywhere!😂
@ModeledCoasters7 ай бұрын
The truss supports are the quickest way to build a structure. I would keep an eye out for my next project. No spoilers, but I plan on using custom supports for it!
