@TinyLittles3D Hi. Nice model and painting. I just received my purchased Reflex RS printer - I'm not fortunate enough to be sponsored. I don't have the pulse module but used HeyGears PAS10 resin for initial test prints. I followed the initial setup - all was fine including the build plate level test all ok. To test printer, I printed cones of calibration. For the first 13-15 layers the Reflex RS makes a rather loud noise when the build plate stops descending into the resin tray just prior to exposing next layer. Sounds like two thuds or like a stepper motor lose steps type sound and max force reads -244N. I have completed 4 test prints, in between each checking screen, cleaning and checking resin tray nfep for cracking or damage due to the noise. No evidence of any issues... but with each print, for the first 13-15 layers or so of each print, the RS makes 2 thud sounds that disappear after these first dozen or so layers - I assume when the printer is on normal layer exposures and not base or transition layers from base to normal exposure. I posted a video at my channel kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX2tdIOjqbuIf6s I sent Heygears a blueprint studio help ticket showing video with audio (and slice file and log file) to ask if such noises are normal. Heygears tech says yes no worries - the machine would shutdown if pressure too much - which is good to know, but only other resin printer I have used so far is the Saturn 4 Ultra which does not make such noises when descending in the resin tray ... HeyGear Tech support says "We have reviewed the force curve and found that the zeroing force is 100N, which is within the safety range. Additionally, I have confirmed with the relevant personnel that the upper limit for the downward force on the RS printer is 250N. If this limit is exceeded, the printer will automatically stop to prevent damage. Regarding the sound in the video, we have verified that it is the sound of the electromagnets on both sides tightening, which ensures a smooth printing process and naturally differs from other machines. If there were any issues with the printer, the device would report an error, as it is equipped with multiple force sensors for monitoring, making it very safe." Do you have similar noises at the end of each retraction cycle for the first 13-15 layers of a print? Are you in Vancouver?

Guess my comments to this video, noting the the issues I was experiencing with a Reflex RS printer that I just purchased (and was NOT given / sponsored with), were not in line with your glowing review of this printer given to you by Heygears, so you have not published my comments? Only assumption I can make. Yes, quality of prints are excellent off the RS (when it works properly in my case and I don't need to clean vat all the time) - better than Saturn 4 Ultra , and Heygears responds to issues through BluePrint Slicer fairly promptly, but I am returning the printer as I am not satisfied that the unit I have does not issues with it that I noted in my comment I left to this video that was not published for some reason. Heygears says my printer is ok from their review of the logs, but I consider it has issues that I cannot accept in order to get the marginally better print quality than my Saturn 4 ultra. So, the purchased Reflex RS is being returned.

I just bought a uniformation GKtwo and while it is nice man the fact you don't have to putty and fill in gaps is such a crazy time saver I wish I saw this a couple of days ago. Great work on the paints tho as always

The gktwo is still a great machine. Have been using it for the majority of the year. But I do agree no gap filling is a huge time saver. I really need to use more of it to really see if it’s a consistent feature of the heygears though

Ya, it is an expensive machine. But if you know your way around 3D printing, the Saturns are great machines at an affordable price

Few videos ago I asked about the reactivation of paint and what not. I owe you a response to that. I figured out my problem :D I use inks and they reactivate :D I have to varnish after the ink is dry and then I can progress with the painting. I also love adding a bit of ink to white paint for the zenithal highlights as it makes it flow better, be more creamy and help avoid gritty / dotty texture in the highlights. Nice job on the Mini :D
@HuntersOAАй бұрын
What wet palette is that? :O I have a RGG Painter V2 and I feel like it is a bit small. That one looks even smaller :O Do you fit on it well? I think I am doing more work with brush though so maybe that is why I find it small :D
@HuntersOAАй бұрын
An additional comment - I think this model would do very well with panel lining in the recesses - the pouches, edges of pouches, legs where there is a line, belts, etc. Have you thought about that? I also really enjoy manga brushes for panel lining. They wipe away with my finger when wet (if I make a mistake) but they seem to be rock solid after drying. And there are tons of different manga brushes :D
@TinyLittles3DАй бұрын
Oh I didn’t know inks reactivated…. I don’t seem to have that problem when I airbrush my ink though
@TinyLittles3DАй бұрын
Ya, I did think about that. But sometimes I’m short on time and have to call it quits at a certain point 😅

Bought the RS back in October and it's the first printer where you can barely see any print lines even at 50 microns
@TinyLittles3DАй бұрын
Print quality is pretty insane. Still want to play with the support settings a bit to make it even cleaner
@hylgarissАй бұрын
Yes I'm testing as well reducing the tip size a bit, apparently removing the contact shape and set to none can improve the supports marks
@fluxcapacitorАй бұрын
The default Blueprint settings for the supports leave unbearable bump marks on the models printed with the Reflex RS. As you are sponsored by HeyGears and won't bite the hand that feeds you, you cannot say anything but "it's so great". Outspoken people like Battle Brother Sam or Figure Feedback pointed the issue and showed the custom settings allowing to get rid of these unsightly marks.

First off this is amazing as always. I know you tend to do female models but have you ever thought of doing a print form Dr.Stone, or maybe a Spider-man and Black-cat model together assuming you could find one?
@TinyLittles3DАй бұрын
Ya, I personally would love to do more anime stuff in the future
