After putting one of these together my only regret is not building the damn thing from scratch out of aluminum extrusions. All of the time setting up the motor axes in Marlin firmware and the Arduino Mega would have easily been a wash against HOLDING THOSE DAMN M6 NUTS IN THE ACRYLIC SLOTS. lol

Zippo fluid is the best to take tape off if you can’t wait. Warning be carful what fluid you use on acrylic it could brake.

You can fix the Y axis belt alignment issue by loosening and adjusting the gear on the Y axis stepper motor. All it took was nudging that over a little and it solved the problem for me without having to modify the belt.

Achron Timeless I never even thought of that. Appreciate your input

I have been trying to use this printer for 3 full days now and I haven't had a succesful print yet. I will try out the glass bed tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to print.

I am new to the Anet A8 and trying to get it to print. I can go to the menu and preheat the extruder and bed and I can read the temps in the LCD. But when I go to print I see the bed heating but the extruder shows a "0" for the set temp. If you are using Cura what is your start G code and end G code for the Anet A8 printer?

Aye can you do a video on making a dual nand console like a tutorial using the viper dual nand and you can buy one of them from the weekend modders store

What are you using to record your videos? Nice quality! Also, something you might want to do, if you haven't already, is adjust your Z-Axis threaded rods in the Z-couplers. A lot of people are printing fixes for the Z-Axis wobble when they don't have to. What they are failing to realize is that the threaded rods aren't installed into the Z-couplers properly. The fact that the threaded rod isn't supported by the upper brace should be apparent. Here is a link to illustrate what I'm talking about: 3dprint.wiki/reprap/anet/a8/coupler

Hi i have a question for anet a8 enthusiasts......why does this design have the ribbed side of a belt ride on a smooth surface..?......ie the belt riding on the pully opposite end of y motor.....this is not good....it causes friction and noise and not good for the motor.....just a mess.....why would they not have the smooth side run on the pulley?.....???

Just dampen that paper with a little paint thinner and let it set for a few min. it should peel easily at that point.

The bad thing is you have to take it apart to put filament in unit.

Lol, your tutorials are so useful. I used your old RGH tutorials and saw this vid... I thought this was funny considering that I have that very printer. As you will soon find out... bed leveling is a Bitch... thx again love you vids
@pronetwork37827 жыл бұрын
If you don't like bed leveling, you should look into auto leveling methods. I have the same printer and I just ordered a sensor that I am going to use on my printer as I too hate manually leveling the bed.

Thanks for the heads up n the auto-leveling thing... this is why your community channel should definitely be a million subscriber channel

Did it come from Gear best with a spool of filament?
@JonnyGuns6 жыл бұрын
Ben LePage Sadly, it did not. It came with a small clear package of white filament. Only a couple of windings that would allow you to test everything out.
@elfpimp16 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. I found that the ones that DID come with a "free" spool had price markups to cover that cost. So it all really depends on where you look..

Love this printer, but the bearings are utter junk, replace them with drylin bearings. Ow, and print a y-axis brace with tensioner, trust me, it makes so much difference.
