Shot a few people waiting for the 3d printer to finish. This was shot at my academy back in 2014

It's only fascinating for the first few weeks, after that it becomes relentless tinkering, and once the machines are performing reliably it's just waiting for the finishing sound while doing soemthing else.

It’s quite astounding to think of the wonder and imagination behind their blank stares. Their blankness of their expressions don’t match the color in their heads

lol - right in the feels. I own a small workshop with laser cutter, CNC router and a couple of 3D printers. I could be so much more productive. We invest in these machines to make work more efficient but it doesn't necessarily save us any time :)

It's one of those things you only truly appreciate when you work in a CNC shop or own a CNC machine of your own.

if they weren't so mesmerizing we could do other work while it was running. but its so enticing to see your creation being built lol

You're convincing me about the fact that I want to work in those areas, helping people and watch them wait for their project. This is marvelous! Kisses from France 😍👌

Yep. Was caught by my wife, sitting in front of the cnc-router watching steel beeing milled...

jajajajajaa this is so true! I would like to have my video when I printed my first 3d object, it takes near of 3 hours and I was there, watching from the beginning to the end amazed, and my wife come and go so many times watching me and I guess thinking "Ok, I lost my husband".

Note that it's almost the same weird behavior for 2D printing in most companies.

Ah yes, that one guy always standing by the printer waiting for like 100 copies to finish, when he could just go to his desk and do something else.

I think this is a clickbait title. I thought it's 3D printing real people out of flesh in a nozzle.

It is a fascinating process to watch, you have to give them that. After a few days they will believe it, and move on :-)

Well that was a pointless use of bandwidth, like nobody has anything else to do whilst waiting for a print to finish, most people have more than 1 printer and would spend the time that a printer takes to print with processing and finishing a previous print

This was shot at my acadamy back in 2014 where it was mandatory to stay with the machine.
