Thumbnail was clickbait to thinking this would produce a quality scan. You took an STL image of somebody's work to make us think we would get to this result which is false advertisement. Sorry your final result was unusable in my eyes.

great video, so with phones and now other devices scanning is there a library of any of these pre scanned items ( ex airtags, headphones, air pods ... ) so that you do not have to go through the scan and fix ( somebody allready cleaned) . I know printables, thingverse etc.. have files parts but not the products .

i want to be able to scan stuff not really so i can print it but so i can use it as a reference when going to make cases or mounts. i can usually just make a rough model that has everything i need to work around but being able to scan it would be so much faster an i can make rough models but when it comes to really complex shapes i struggle at best so this would make thing alot easier for me cause im more often making a case or brackets rather than trying to reprint a hole panel or something.

I’m not sure about that. I would personally just buy a set of calipers, take the measurements, and then just redesign the shew again in an app like inventor, blender, or any other free cad app. I have one on my Ipad that works pretty well. I don’t have my ipad with me now, but I’ll come back and edit this with the name.
