So when they can be winched to the loading area why do they need a tuck to move it to the loaded barge fleet instead of winching it there too?

Hi. Good question. The wenches can pull the empty barges under the conveyor for loading. The reason they do not have wenches prepare the barges into the 8 barge convoy is because the wenches would not be able to push the barges away from shore into a second row to make up the 2 barge wide convoy. Yes, there is a logistical way it can be done, but not as efficient. Let me know if you have any other questions. ~Cresto

@@lamlee976 Look at the mouth of the Zambezi river on google earth. Coal mining technology is really efficient so there should be a fuck ton of coal barges or just any barges. This video is from 2012, and google earth's oldest pictures are from 2015 I think. so that's at least 3 years for this thing to work, add on the extra 5 years to now and there still aren't barges. The river never got dredged and the zimbabwe dollar went to hell.(it's that worthless).
