3D total body imaging for melanoma surveillance

In this short video, Professor H. Peter Soyer from The University of Queensland explains how the IMAGE trial uses melanoma surveillance photography.
This surveillance technique combines 2D or 3D total body photography technology, to capture the whole skin surface and is used alongside digital dermoscopy to track lesions over time.
The IMAGE trial uses baseline total body photography (TBP) as a reference point for ongoing skin cancer surveillance in high risk groups and is required for objective confirmation of change (or lack thereof) as well as detection of new lesions.
