Very useful as is serves a double purpose. Faster drawing and it helps the guys onsite to get their heads around the details.

For sure Neil, in fact, it actually serves as even more as you can assign suppliers and subcontractors to products for future use. You can also assign supplier prices and subcontractors rates to the vignette. Now it is quoting, creating a baseline template and a project brief. Let's just say that PlusDesignBuild 2022 also has some NEWLY added features that you may pick up in this tutorial set.

Great Summary - A real time saver :) - Is there a way to set the footing also with a step say 110mm stepdown for the brickwork?

It would be unusual for a strip footing to have a step-down. Can you give us an instance?

Very helpful tips! One question, I see that lot of the tutorials start with a 2d blueprint and you draw the walls right on top of that. I get the utility in that IF you start with blueprints. I use SU to design from scratch, however. Should I create 2D plans from my native SU designs, then draw the models over the 2D plans with PS, or can I use PS tools from the beginning of my design process?

It depends on how you like to design If you want to create in 2D first, You could simply use the "room set out" tool This way, you can label rooms. Or you could start with an aerial image of the property (my favourite). Many designers start with a paper sketch and scan, import it and scale it using the scale tool. I know Andrew measures up renovations on-site and draws them then and there on a laptop, yet you might like to use grid paper. I think it would be really great if you had links to the file you start with like most sketchup tutorials that start with complex drawings so people could follow along. your software is amazing but it is far more valuble the easier you make it for people to learn how to use it. Could you provide links for the files in all of the videos for me and all of the other people trying to learn how to use this software. It would make it easier to follow along.

Hi Mike, yes, it's an extension. You can Google PlusSpec or PlusDesignBuild or PlusArchitect here is a link plusspec.com/plusarchitect-4/ PlusArchitect automates Sketchup drawing and layout. PlusDesignBuild due everything PlusArchitect does, but it also creates a BOQ, you can also associate Price Subcontractors and suppliers with the model. Here's the link plusspec.com/plusdesignbuild/
