His right hand is so crisp...a joy to listen to. The phrasing is so consistent too. Awesome lad, just awesome. The crowd could have shown a bit more respect instead of chatting like a grannies meeting.

What's sitting on my chair watching this video is a one and only goose bump, if you know what I mean :-) - Absolutely fantastic and at the same time very touching. Angela

Angus McColl playing for Scotland !...Why have Adidas not noted that one of the greatest pipers on earth plays in "sambas" we haven't had a striker like him for years...he takes my breath away...and I'm a bloke!..Christ almighty I need a blast from Angus in the morning as much as I need to live...

If his name is "Angus McColl", he probably slays the fucking bagpipes.

Love the music that he produces there. He teaches in Oban High School in Scotland. He is one of the best teachers you can get. Like Ian spiers or Andrew wright

Angus has always made it look easy, had the fortune/misfortunate to compete against him over 30 years ago, always a joy to listen to and he has such great phrasing. Superb.

Sometimes I can't hear the bass --- when I'm on the inside, so I rest the stick near my ear so you can hear/feel the bass drone. I wonder if that's what he's doing also.

I'm still trying to figure out which tune it is for the lead up to Rose Amongst the Heather.
@connorelliott26738 жыл бұрын
If anyone is curious the strathspeys in the second half are: 1: The Cambletown Kiltie Ball 2: The Rose among the heather 3: O'er the bows to ballandalloch I'm not sure about the reels except the last one is the hard drive by Fred Morrison.

Fair enough...though the pipes sound great in a church...bottom line...not all indoor venues are unsuitable for the pipes provided the ceiling is high enough.
@RayMainBagpiper16 жыл бұрын
Yup, hard... has lots of notes that are there but can't be heard as the tune is played. MacNeils of Ugandale is a very similar tune, but a whole bunch easier.
