3DS Using Citra - LaunchBox Tutorial

The newest (and last) update of Citra seems to remember the last view you used. So, adding "Send {F11}" into the script will alternate between full screen and windowed every time you start. I personally deleted that line to fix it, make sure you're in full screen before you exit as this will cause annoyances when using Big Box. Also make sure to toggle off "confirm exit while emulation is running" or it will constantly ask you if you want to leave also causing an annoyance in Big Box.

Nice tips. May you try things like emulating touch on the lower screen on a PS4/PS5 DSpad, or even more difficult, can you use one of your secondary touchscreens (USB-C I mean) as an XXL version of the original console? Paired with a laptop or a monitor could be a magical project.

Heads up the 3DS roms need to be the decrypted type of roms. I founds some roms but they didn’t work because Citra said they were encrypted.

Hello, I am still having trouble getting Citra to work after following this tutorial. I can launch the Roms just fine through Citra but when I try to do it through Launchbox, it opens Citra with an error message of "Your ROM format is not supported.

I hope Citra will run again for me. For the last 2 years no matter what versions I downloaded, Citra never actually started up. Well. It did for like 2 months, then stopped. And none of them worked before or since. And I didn't change anything on my system.

Look for the Mii Maker app, launch it like any other game in Citra and it will allow you to create your Mii

Of course on some 3DS games there are parts where you need to blow on the screen from what I can remember or maybe shake it And I just thought I ask how will that work for the emulator? And for when you need to use the touch screen can you use the mouse just like when emulating DS games?

If Citra does not have a way to map a controller to whatever functionality that is, then you'll have to use a third party mapper program like Antimicro.

@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC Thank you! I've tried antimicro and mapped the F9 key to my right stick button. It seems to be working fine for now. Is it possible to implement a command into the autohotkey script in order to launch and close antimicro along with citra? Would be pretty neat!
